William Lazarus, 89 [born about 1876], died Thursday [25 Mar] night in a local nursing home after a long illness.

He was a member of the Hebrew Congregation [later known as Temple Israel] and was born in Lithuania but lived most of his life in Adel [Georgia].

Survivors include

  • his wife;
  • two sons,
    1. Jack Lazarus of Miami, Fla.,
    2. and David Lazarus of Charlotte, N. C.;
  • two sisters,
    1. Mrs. Max Bohrman of Lake City, Fla., and
    2. Mrs. Will Rosenberg of Jacksonville, Fla.

Funeral services were held this afternoon [26 Mar] at McGowan Funeral Home [308 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta]. Burial was at Sunset Hill Cemetery [Valdosta].
