Mrs. Sarah Mickelson, 82 [born about 1869], died at her home in Perry, Florida Sunday [31 Dec 1950] about 3 p.m. Funeral services were held at McGowan Funeral Home [308 N. Patterson Street] here today at 3 p.m. Rabbi Morris Sklar officiated.

She was the sister of 

  1. Joe Lazarus of Valdosta,
  2. Phillip Lazarus and
  3. Israel Lazarus of Quitman [Georgia] and
  4. Will Lazarus of Sparks [Georgia].

Other survivors include 

  • a daughter, 
    • Mrs. Jack Wright of Perry;
  • two sisters, 
    1. Mrs. Will Rosenburg, Jacksonville, Fla., and
    2. Mrs. Max Bohrman of Lake City, Fla.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Mickelson were held Monday [1 Jan] at 3 p.m. at the McGowan Funeral Home [308 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta]. Rabbi Morris Sklar officiated.

Mrs. Mickelson died Sunday [31 Dec 1950] in Perry, Fla., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. [Anne] Jack Rice.

Pallbearers were 

  • Ben Glickman, 
  • Nathan Fleet, 
  • William Lazarus, 
  • Irvin Lazarus, 
  • Leon Lazarus, and
  • Harry Abrahams.

Interment was in the family plot in Sunset Hill [Valdosta], by the side of her husband.
