CHURUBUSCO, Ind., July 10 - Jacob Sleeseman, aged 71 years [born around 1840], was found dead in bed at his home, three miles west of this city, Sunday morning [9 July]. It is supposed he died about 1 o'clock. Infirmities of old age are given as the cause.

Mr. Sleeseman was born in Pennsylvania and was married thirty-six years ago [around 1875] to Miss Elsie Hettinger at Defiance, O [Ohio].

Four children were born, two surviving, George Sleeseman, of Washington state, and Mrs. Sarah Long, of Churubusco.

In addition there are surviving eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon [12 July] at 1 o'clock at the residence, Rev. Parker officiating. Burial in Egolf cemetery.
