Mr. H. Oppert, of Clayton, died last Friday [25 March] and was buried Saturday [26 March].

Died on Saturday last [25 March] at his residence in Clayton [Barbour county], Mr. H. Oppert, aged 76 years [born about 1816]. On Monday [28 March] Miss Mattie, one of his daughters died, and Wednesday [30 March] Miss Gussie, another one of his daughters died, making three out of the family which died in less time than a week. This is a sore affliction to the rest of the family. - Clayton Courier
